Roles And Responsibilities

• Perform application penetration testing on web-based applications, APIs.
• Perform network penetration testing on systems.
• Perform mobile application penetration testing across different mobile platforms.
• Exploit vulnerabilities to gain access and expand access to remote systems.
• Document and explain the technical details of the security issues identified during security assessments and recommend mitigation controls for remediation.
• Research cutting edge security topics and new attack vectors.
• Conduct compliance testing on web-based application, mobile applications and thick/thin-client application that meet predetermined Technology Security Standards and other regulatory requirements.
• Conduct secure code review when required.
• Perform thick client penetration testing when required.
• Perform VA scan and follow-up for the mitigation with technical teams when required.
  
  

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on penetration testing experience for web applications, mobile applications, and APIs.
• Experience conducting Secure Code Review.
• Degree in computer science/computer engineering/information security or equivalent.
• A working knowledge of all aspects of information security is essential.
• Familiarity of HKMA and other regulatory/industries requirements, e.g. TM-E-1, TM-G-1.
• Good communication (spoken and written) skills, able to work independently and as a team.
• Certifications from either GIAC/Offensive Security/CREST required.
• Hands on experience in using Kali Linux, tools such as Burp, Tenable and other penetration testing, and secure code review tools.
• Experience in conducting penetration testing for financial institution will be highly preferred.
• Experience in conducting data loss prevention control is a plus.
• Experience in performing VA scan is preferred.

• Provide security expertise to ensure the ongoing confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and information effectively and efficiently.

• Work closely with key development and operations stakeholders to ensure timely remediation
• Conduct security code reviews and make recommendations to developers

• Work collaboratively with key development and operations stakeholders to support the secure CI/CD pipeline
• Conduct offensive research to evaluate emerging cyber security threats and trends
• Work closely with the security operations team to proactively identify potential weaknesses, threats or vulnerabilities and address them

• 5+ Years’ experience in IT security related positions with a key focus on penetration testing and application security
• You should be able to demonstrate:
• Passion for offensive security and assurance
• Risk mindset and knowledge of risk management guidelines and frameworks
• Good understanding of penetration testing methodologies / techniques and software security principles
• Ability to communicate and articulate technical findings with stakeholders at all levels of the business
• Hands-on threat, vulnerability, and remediation management experience

Requirements
