• for Front Office/Risk to have a clear and accurate view of positions and risks,

• for Back Office to ensure smooth settlement for all trades,

• for Product Control to do valuation and P&L reporting in due time.

Responsibilities

• Verify trade booking and ensure that trades are properly booked to Risk Management Systems, provide justifications for any late bookings and amendments,

• Monitoring, processing and booking of corporate action events for equity and FICC products,

• Monitoring and booking of life cycle events in systems for BO to handle accurate settlements, including KO, maturity, fixing, early terminations, etc,

• Streamline the different workflow through automation and process review,

• Position reconciliation with different counterparties,

• Products Covered: Total Return Swaps, P notes, Interest Rate Swaps, Cross Currencies Swaps, Cash Equity, Bonds, Repo/Reverse Repo, CDS, Futures, Vanilla Options, Accumulator, Range Accrual, etc.

Qualifications

Job requirements

• Previous exposure to Equity Derivative products and/or Fixed Income products is essential,

• Basic knowledge on Corporate Action and life cycle events (type of events, impact),

• Ability to work under pressure in trading environment,

• Strong and sharp analytical and problem-solving skills,

• Excellent communication skills; required to work with various internal partners (Traders, Risks, Other Middle Offices, Product Control teams, Back Offices, IT),

• Fluent in written and spoken English, any other languages would be a plus,

• Knowledge of programming is an advantage,

• Bachelor Degree holder or above, preferably in Banking & Finance related disciplines.

Key Elements Of The Job

  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of deal documentation, including deal term sheet, allocation lists, and confirmations.
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth deal execution.
  • Maintain accurate records of client orders, allocations, and transactions.
  • Monitor and communicate deal timelines and critical deadlines.
  • Collaborate with operations and compliance to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Assist in managing daily client services and trading operations, including account opening, performing KYC, application review, client onboarding, order execution monitoring, and post-trade processing.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or related field.

  • Good writing and communication skills in both English and Chinese (liaise with the English & Chinse speaking associates).
  • Proficiency with trading systems and platforms (e.g., Bloomberg or basic programming is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of equity capital markets, syndication processes, and trading operations.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and reporting requirements (e.g., CMFAS, FINRA, SEC) will be an added advantage

GFO-X is seeking a Trade Support Engineer to join our growing team in Hong Kong.

GFO-X is the UK's first regulated and centrally cleared trading venue dedicated to digital asset derivatives.

The successful candidate will participate in the daily operations of our globally distributed technical support team. They will be expected to deliver exceptional support to exchange participants through phone and email.

Role:

  • Provide application-level support to the GFO-X trading venue: Respond to customer and internal inquiries, diagnose the problem and then provide an effective solution.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to FIX and proprietary protocols, application support, hardware, OS, monitoring and orchestration software, and connectivity issues using industry-standard tools including PCAP, Wireshark, FIXYL, Zabbix, and Rundeck.
  • Assist with client onboarding to the GFO-X trading venue, working with internal teams to quickly have the client up and running.
  • Be the primary interface to the client.
  • Lead client API and Algo Conformance testing and certification.
  • Support start and end-of-day settlement process and back-office functions.
  • Document and track customer interactions: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, including issues, resolutions, and any additional follow-up actions. Update internal knowledge base and contribute to developing self-help resources specific to these areas.
  • Hardware support: Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for hardware. Collaborate with the wider IT team to ensure hardware configurations are optimized for stability, performance and security.
  • Collaborate with the infrastructure, development and project teams: Provide customer feedback on issues relating to FIX and proprietary protocols, application support, hardware, and API enhancements or bug fixes to the development team. Participate in testing and quality assurance efforts to ensure the stability and reliability of these components.
  • Work according with defined Support SLAs.
  • Work with the team lead to continuously improve support processes: Identify areas for process improvement specific to FIX and proprietary protocols, application support, hardware, and APIs, and suggest proactive solutions to enhance the overall customer support experience. Collaborate with the team to develop best practices and implement standardized support procedures.

Requirements:

  • 2-years support experience in a financial organisation ideally in trade or front-office support.
  • Working knowledge of FIX protocol
  • Practical experience with troubleshooting Application Services, including API issues.
  • Practical experience with troubleshooting exchange connectivity issues
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated client focus and appreciation of Customer Experience
  • Able to multi-task efficiently and work under time pressure
  • Willing to take direction, follow instructions and see tasks through to the best possible outcome for GFO-X and for our clients.
  • Familiarity with ITIL working practices, ideally experience working in a workplace actively using ITIL practices.
  • Demonstrable skills with the effective use of Jira and Confluence, including creating and owning dashboards and kanban boards, and creating and contributing to how-tos, troubleshooting guides, and other forms of documentation.

Job Brief

We are hiring software developer and support roles with a focus on developing quant trading systems and strategies, as well as handling trading and operations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with an engineering background to join us in building our quant business together.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Work with the team to develop and improve existing production trading systems.
  • Be involved in front to back implementation of quant strategies from back tested prototype to production trading.
  • Operate quant trading strategies including generating the correct orders, verifying them, and delivering them to the market correctly and in a timely manner.

We follow Agile & DevOps practices, polish products by iterations, build, test, deploy and monitor ourselves.

We enforce peer reviews and automated tests to ensure code quality.

  • Since we trade globally, our role requires candidates who are willing to take shifts for trading operations during Asia, Europe and US market hours. (9 hours shift, including Public Holidays)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Coding experience using languages similar to C#/Java.

Job Brief

We are hiring software developer and support roles with a focus on developing quant trading systems and strategies, as well as handling trading and operations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with an engineering background to join us in building our quant business together.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Work with the team to develop and improve existing production trading systems.
  • Be involved in front to back implementation of quant strategies from back tested prototype to production trading.
  • Operate quant trading strategies including generating the correct orders, verifying them, and delivering them to the market correctly and in a timely manner.

We follow Agile & DevOps practices, polish products by iterations, build, test, deploy and monitor ourselves.

We enforce peer reviews and automated tests to ensure code quality.

  • Since we trade globally, our role requires candidates who are willing to take shifts for trading operations during Asia, Europe and US market hours. (9 hours shift, including Public Holidays)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Coding experience using languages similar to C#/Java.
  • Willingness to step out of their comfort zone to learn not only programming practices but also business domain know-how.
  • Strong sense of ownership and responsibilities. Hardworking, detail-oriented, and reliable. You will be required to fully follow the company’s compliance requirements.
  • Keen on developing further in the field and learn quant trading execution knowledge.
  • Willing to take shifts at work, including sharing responsibilities with teammates during public holidays.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Good to have qualifications include:
    • Familiarity with our major languages and frameworks: C#.net (version 5 or above).
    • Familiarity with Python (scripts and reporting), C++ (connectivity), Angular (GUI development).
    • Familiarity with basic Linux Operations and understanding of Relational Databases.
    • Familiarity with OOP, Dependency Injection, Unit tests, usage of development tools, and documentation.
    • Familiarity with Excel and VBA.
    • Familiarity with Cloud, CI/CD setup, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS.
    • Good mathematics and statistical knowledge.
    • Background in financial subjects, although this is not mandatory.

GFO-X is seeking a Trade Support Engineer to join our growing team in Hong Kong.

GFO-X is the UK's first regulated and centrally cleared trading venue dedicated to digital asset derivatives.

The successful candidate will participate in the daily operations of our globally distributed technical support team. They will be expected to deliver exceptional support to exchange participants through phone and email.

Role:

  • Provide application-level support to the GFO-X trading venue: Respond to customer and internal inquiries, diagnose the problem and then provide an effective solution.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to FIX and proprietary protocols, application support, hardware, OS, monitoring and orchestration software, and connectivity issues using industry-standard tools including PCAP, Wireshark, FIXYL, Zabbix, and Rundeck.
  • Assist with client onboarding to the GFO-X trading venue, working with internal teams to quickly have the client up and running.
  • Be the primary interface to the client.
  • Lead client API and Algo Conformance testing and certification.
  • Support start and end-of-day settlement process and back-office functions.
  • Document and track customer interactions: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, including issues, resolutions, and any additional follow-up actions. Update internal knowledge base and contribute to developing self-help resources specific to these areas.
  • Hardware support: Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for hardware. Collaborate with the wider IT team to ensure hardware configurations are optimized for stability, performance and security.
  • Collaborate with the infrastructure, development and project teams: Provide customer feedback on issues relating to FIX and proprietary protocols, application support, hardware, and API enhancements or bug fixes to the development team. Participate in testing and quality assurance efforts to ensure the stability and reliability of these components.
  • Work according with defined Support SLAs.
  • Work with the team lead to continuously improve support processes: Identify areas for process improvement specific to FIX and proprietary protocols, application support, hardware, and APIs, and suggest proactive solutions to enhance the overall customer support experience. Collaborate with the team to develop best practices and implement standardized support procedures.

Requirements:

  • 2-years support experience in a financial organisation ideally in trade or front-office support.
  • Working knowledge of FIX protocol
  • Practical experience with troubleshooting Application Services, including API issues.
  • Practical experience with troubleshooting exchange connectivity issues
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated client focus and appreciation of Customer Experience
  • Able to multi-task efficiently and work under time pressure
  • Willing to take direction, follow instructions and see tasks through to the best possible outcome for GFO-X and for our clients.
  • Familiarity with ITIL working practices, ideally experience working in a workplace actively using ITIL practices.
  • Demonstrable skills with the effective use of Jira and Confluence, including creating and owning dashboards and kanban boards, and creating and contributing to how-tos, troubleshooting guides, and other forms of documentation.

As an Equity Derivatives Trade Support Associate within the Equity Derivatives Middle Office, you will be providing operational support to equity derivatives traders based in Hong Kong, specifically for the APAC Volatility trading business. Your responsibilities will include maintaining strict controls over daily trading activities and reconciliations. You will be part of a collaborative team that works closely with trading, sales, client servicing, business managers, product control, legal, compliance, settlement, and control teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Trade capture and booking equity derivatives e.g. Listed Futures and Options, Equity Swaps, ETFs, ADRs/GDRs, FX, Vanilla and Exotics OTC Products, Structures Notes, Warrants, Certificates including New Issuances, Increase / Unwinds and Corporate Action adjustment
  • Ensure all transactions are capture timely and accurately in the Risk Management Systems
  • Complete intraday / end-of-day processes including completeness and reconciliation checks to ensure capture of new trading activity and general book management has been processed accurately
  • Work closely with Operations functions and infrastructure groups to support a ‘one team approach
  • Have clear and concise communication with all support teams to ensure the timely and efficient resolution of queries
  • Ensure all controls are diligently performed, completed, and signed-off on a timely basis
  • Ensure regulatory obligations are fulfilled and participate to changes with regulation
  • Collaborate with Sales, trading and business management for any new business opportunities and help designing controls and process
  • Participate and contribute to the various strategic initiatives; keep improving and evolving processes and business architecture
  • Build an in-depth understanding of all trading structures from both a financial and operational perspective

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a middle office function supporting relevant role relating to Equity Derivatives
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office and the ability to pick up complex systems architecture easily
  • Strong Product knowledge on Equity Derivative Products, in particular – Equity Swaps, Options, Futures, ETFs
  • Knowledge of the front to back Operations process (including the key elements such as confirmations, settlements, regulatory reporting) and facilitate issue resolution across teams
  • Understand the key elements of other infrastructure groups (i.e. Finance, Market risk, Credit risk, Operational risk, Legal, Collateral etc.) and recognize the impact of the actions of the Trade support team on these areas
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Positive attitude; solid business acumen; strong level of professionalism
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment to ensure tasks are dealt with appropriately within timely manner; maintaining a high level of client service, while at all times adhering to controls and policies of the business.
  • Great team player able to work in a pressurized and evolving environment

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Ability to pick up complex systems architecture easily
  • Knowledge of VBA / SQL and experience with digital tools such as Xceptor, Alteryx, Tableau, Robotics, etc. and language skills such as Mandarin would be an asset
