- Lead the team of individuals with the specialised skills of reviewing and approving CDD review for on-boarding, periodic review and trigger review for SME and ensure full compliance of relevant CDD policies and procedures and high standards of CDD quality.

- Lead through examples and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from the team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners
- Execution responsibility for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating financial crime risk, sanctions risk and reputational risks to the Group. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. We are seeking a proactive and experienced Manager for Money Mule Management to join our Client Due Diligence (CDD) team in Wealth & Retail Banking. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to detect, investigate, and prevent money mule activities. This role is vital in safeguarding the bank against financial crimes and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Manager for Money Mule Management will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure effective risk management and mitigation.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the business, CDD team and compliance teams to identify potential money mule risks during the onboarding process.
- Ensure all onboarding activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Monitor and analyze transactions and account activities to detect suspicious patterns indicative of money mule activities.
- Utilize advanced analytics and monitoring tools to identify and investigate potential money mule cases.
- Conduct regular reviews of client accounts and transactions to ensure continuous compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks and prevent future occurrences.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on money mule risk activities to senior management and regulatory authorities as required.
- Assist Department Head to develop and maintain policies and procedures related to money mule management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Work closely with the business, CDD, compliance team, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure effective management of money mule risks.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of money mule management.
- Bachelor Degree Holder
- Over 3 years of solid experience in Client Due Diligence/ Money Mule Management / FCC investigation
- Solid knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements relating to Customer Due Diligence and Anti Money Laundering
- Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Good interpersonal skills and a team player
- Good judgement
- Ability to work under pressure
- Independence and robustness
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with High attention to details

- Conducting Customer Due Diligence (CDD) for onboarding, periodic review, and trigger event review.

THE ROLE

Working as a part of an experienced team, you will research, analyse and write up complex, and sometimes controversial, media and human source insight to aid our corporate clients in making impactful decisions .
We are looking for someone who is adaptable, can be part of a team and wants to grow with the business. In this role, you are likely to take on the following tasks on a day-to-day basis:
- Conducting in-depth online research on subjects – whether they be individuals or companies – using various open-source tools in support of corporate investigations or due diligence projects , primarily in Korea but also elsewhere in Asia;
- Conducting research on regional commercial, security and political issues in Korea;
- Critically analysing and assessing all information obtained during research;
- Providing subject matter expertise on the political, regulatory and corporate risk environment in Korea; and
- Presenting research, assessments and accurate reports to managers and clients.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We think candidates with the following skills and experience are likely to succeed as a Due Diligence Analyst at S-RM.

We're looking for someone that is able to adapt to change and work comfortably in a fast-paced environment, this person will have some or all of these skills:
- The ability to read Korean to a standard that enables you to critically assess the meaning and relevance of media articles;
- The ability to read any other regional languages will be beneficial for this position, with Chinese or Japanese being of particular interest;
- A demonstrable understanding of commercial dynamics in Korea and Northeast Asia;
- A demonstrable understanding of, or an aptitude for and interest in learning about, the different forms that corruption and sanctions evasion takes across sectors and geographies in Korea and Northeast Asia;
- An understanding of the media and legal landscape in Korea and Northeast Asia;
- The ability to write in clear and concise business English;
- Great teamwork and verbal communication skills and an agile and proactive approach to your own career development.
OUR BENEFITS

- 20 days holiday per year in addition to bank holidays (+1 day for every year of service up to a maximum of 25 days in total);
