As an Executive Director leading part of our insurance practice, you will be expected to drive the growth agenda within the insurance domain. This looks like building our profile and network across clients and engagements. We are a fast paced and focused business that is targeting value creation for our targeted clients in Hong Kong and APAC. This means that we work in an agile environment, leading on a range of challenging projects through our insurance practice. Having an entrepreneurial mindset will be key to your success. As an Executive Director within Capco, you will be outward facing and a senior generator of new business opportunities. This will require both farming existing relationships and identifying new opportunities for our value proposition. You will be joining a growing team with deep expertise and an exciting set of client engagements with a focus on value creation, Operational excellence, digital, data and transformation.
Responsibilities
- To identify key C-suite individuals and build our presence in the Hong Kong market
- Support the growth strategy, by creating or improving our value proposition and go to market strategy
- Lead end-to-end oversight into the delivery of complex, large-scale initiatives
- Lead and develop forward-thinking solutions across various pillars such as technology, people and process for our insurance clients
- Lead transformation projects and process improvement initiatives for multi-national insurers
- Work cross functionally to develop and execute digital transformation strategies to ensure our clients achieve their growth and efficiency objectives
- Synthesize market and industry trends into clearly articulated, tailored, and market differentiated client solutions
- Proactively engage with clients and Capco leadership in regular strategic & planning discussions; cultivate and manage a pipeline of work with clients
- Drive commercial growth of our insurance domain across Hong Kong and APAC
- Lead, Manage and mentor resources to grow in their careers
Key requirement for this role is to have a background in Insurance within one or more of these capability areas:
- A Solid Network across Hong Kong Insurance market
- Insurance strategy with transformation experience
- Digital transformation
- Data strategy, data management, data engineering & data analytics
- Business & finance transformation
- Technology strategy, architecture development and technology transformation
- A demonstrated network of relationships across the Hong Kong Insurance market at senior levels.
- Strong communication and presentation skills across all levels from C-suite to internal engagement teams and vendors.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the Insurance Industry with a specific focus on digital transformation across Operations, Underwriting, Distribution and/or Claims.
- 5+ years’ experience in one or more of the following areas within Insurance: digital transformation, agile transformation, operational excellence, designing/implementing target operating model
- A strong understanding of the project lifecycle and the ability to employ these concepts in process design, system implementation and the development of client deliverable
- Business analysis experience in insurance capability uplift and digital ways of working – including designing or implementing target operating model strategies.
- Experience delivering large scale program initiatives, reporting directly to senior stakeholders and managing multiple teams
- Highly effective relationship management skills, with the ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems
- Must have a strong track record of delivery, driving business development within a consulting role, as well as the generation of sales
- Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills

We are looking for a Manager / Associate Director who will spearhead the People and HR aspects of our transformation projects. While HR transformation would be a key focus for this role, support to transformation of other functions (e.g. Finance) would also be expected. - Manage a team of KPMG professionals on client engagements and providing leadership in shaping a delivery approach
- Ensure the successful delivery of projects by overseeing project plans, managing resources effectively, and monitoring project milestones
- Develop appropriate client relationships to enhance the reputation of KPMG as advisor of choice and identify further client opportunities.
- Act as a subject matter expert in HR transformation, leveraging your expertise to guide clients through complex HR-related challenges
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance our HR transformation services
- Share knowledge and support the development of other team member on HR best practices.
- Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills, foster professional growth, and promote a collaborative team environment

- Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field; Master's degree preferred

- Demonstrate understanding of Organisation Design, HR processes, technology and operating model. Experience in shared service model design / review is a plus.

- Experience manage and coach a team of consultants, guiding them to deliver high-quality results and achieve client objectives

Being the consultant of our Finance Consulting team, you will be involved in helping our clients to review their current financial practice, identify possibilities to transform and enhance current business with process and target operation model review, supported by redesigned data, system and technology operation, to improve the effectiveness and efficiency, enabling better understanding of business through the lens of finance data and fulfill the rapidly changing demand for management information and regulatory reporting requirements.
We are looking for talents with an interest in pursuing a management consulting career in the Finance Consulting field.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for delivery of large-scale finance & accounting transformation engagements, from finance strategy and target operating model development through finance technology modernization and deployment
- Conduct benchmarking analysis, business case & roadmap development including functional process modeling, technology architecture design, governance structure & reporting design, organizational structure & service delivery design
- Assist clients in determining how to optimise their financial and non-financial performance, including KPI definitions, the design of the corresponding data model, and the design of processes for planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, reporting and analytics
- Participate in finance technology-enabled modernization programmes to drive the finance modernization agenda, including multi-year programmes related to General Ledger and Reporting platform implementations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Banking, Engineering or Informatics
- At least 6 years of consulting experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of finance operating models, processes and platforms/systems, and strong track record on management and implementation of related projects
- Experience on helping Finance functions address the aforementioned pain-points either as consultants or as in-house staff Understanding of common Finance systems and tools used by Finance functions
- Experience in working with different Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tools, such as Oracle Hyperion, Tagetik, Board, Anaplan etc.
- Experience on helping companies improve reporting process through enhancing data quality, designing data and system architecture and implementing data repository / database a plus
- Strong people manager, able to lead large teams and develop others
- Experience in performing business development activities a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Candidate with more experience will be considered as Associate Director
- Drive business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities to expand project pipelines

Service Line Overview
KPMG’s Finance Consulting team enables clients to maximize the performance of their Finance function and uses the latest technology to improve insights for growth and governance.
Our team in Hong Kong is the fastest growing division within KPMG China and represents a young and enthusiastic team that always pushes itself to succeed. Since our creation, we have developed in-depth knowledge of an incredibly broad spread of sectors and services.
Being the consultant of our Finance Consulting team, you will be involved in helping our clients to review their current financial practice, identify possibilities to transform and enhance current business with process and target operation model review, supported by redesigned data, system and technology operation, to improve the effectiveness and efficiency, enabling better understanding of business through the lens of finance data and fulfill the rapidly changing demand for management information and regulatory reporting requirements.
We are looking for talents with an interest in pursuing a management consulting career in the Finance Consulting field.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for delivery of large-scale finance & accounting transformation engagements, from finance strategy and target operating model development through finance technology modernization and deployment
- Conduct benchmarking analysis, business case & roadmap development including functional process modeling, technology architecture design, governance structure & reporting design, organizational structure & service delivery design
- Assist clients in determining how to optimise their financial and non-financial performance, including KPI definitions, the design of the corresponding data model, and the design of processes for planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, reporting and analytics
- Participate in finance technology-enabled modernization programmes to drive the finance modernization agenda, including multi-year programmes related to General Ledger and Reporting platform implementations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Banking, Engineering or Informatics
- At least 7 - 10 years of consulting experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of finance operating models, processes and platforms/systems, and strong track record on management and implementation of related projects
- Experience on helping Finance functions address the aforementioned pain-points either as consultants or as in-house staff Understanding of common Finance systems and tools used by Finance functions
- Experience in working with different Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tools, such as Oracle Hyperion, Tagetik, Board, Anaplan etc.
- Experience on helping companies improve reporting process through enhancing data quality, designing data and system architecture and implementing data repository / database a plus
- Strong people manager, able to lead large teams and develop others
- Experience in performing business development activities a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Candidate with more experience will be considered as Associate Director
- Drive business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities to expand project pipelines
