- Maintain good business relationship with corporate clients, cedant, brokers and producers
- Discover business opportunities, track & follow up potential business
- Conduct regular business review and prepare business reports

- Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned by manager
Requirements
- Degree holder or equivalent
- Overseas underwriting experience and Chinese SoE servicing experience
- Underwriting experience on special lines taking advantage
- Familiar with insurance/reinsurance industry, minimum 10 years' industry experience in general insurance/ reinsurance and at least 5 years in underwriting.
- Good communication skills, good in both written and spoken Chinese & English
- Patience & attentive, good sense of responsibility, good interpersonal coordination and communication skills, strong collaboration skills, able to work independently, proactive studying and learning attitudes

Job Purpose/Role
- Underwrite profitable new and renewal business to meet LoB targets locally/regionally

- Experience in Multinational Marine Programs and/or Project Cargo would be beneficial
- Ability to work effectively when in a pressured environment
- Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Detail-oriented and organized disposition
- Competent in all Microsoft Product suites, with strong excel skills

- Risk Assessment and Management: Ability to assess risk inherent exposures and natural hazards relevant to LoB
- Pricing and Market mgt: Analyze current performance against benchmarks applying how the market operates and functions, the business needs and customer needs
- Contract Drafting and Interpretation: Design, develop and implement consistent, robust wordings
- Policy Management: Robust understanding of policy administration life cycle, information collection, policy issuance, premium bookings, credit control, cancellation.
General Skills
- Communication & Presentation: Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally. Ability to "sell" an improvised or prepared audience winning story
- Influencing skills: Ability to persuade and motivate others to act, without executive authority
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire
- Language English, Cantonese and/or Mandarin also preferred
Education/Certification
- Degree or above in related discipline
- Completion of professional insurance qualification (e.g. CII or ANZIIF)

Essential
- Develop underwriting to credit proposals by utilizing CCB clients' financial statements, scorecards, industry segmentations, etc.
- Participate in developing, testing, and optimizing Wholesales Credit policies, ensuring consistency and regulatory compliance, and assist in the implementation of those policies, processes, procedures and other related initiatives
Desirable
- Manage risk levels for the entire credit spectrum across multiple products and complexity of credit analysis and prepare risk management presentations for senior management.

- Contribute to the development of new techniques and improvement of processes and workflows by applying in-depth disciplinary knowledge and integrating subject matter and industry expertise within Risk Management.
