Key Responsibilities:

Domain Expertise:

  • 10+ years of experience in QA and program delivery within the insurance industry.
  • Proven exposure across Life, Group, and Health insurance lines.
  • Hands-on experience with major Policy Administration Systems such as LifeAsia, L400, GroupAsia, eBaoTech, and Compass.

System & Application Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of back-end insurance applications including: Claims engines, Underwriting systems, Risk assessment platforms, Commission management systems, CRM and pricing tools
  • Exposure to front-end/digital applications such as: Agent portals, Customer self-service platforms, Sales applications, Mobile apps and dashboard reporting tools

Business Engagement:

  • Experience working collaboratively with departments such as: New Business, Claims, Underwriting, Operations, Pricing & Actuarial, Business & Product teams
  • Exposure to regulatory compliance and audit support within an insurance environment.

Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Minimum 5 years acting as a Business Analyst or Subject Matter Expert (SME) on insurance projects.

  • Proven track record leading QA projects in enterprise environments.
  • Ownership of end-to-end QA lifecycle, including Functional testing, Regression testing, UAT strategy and execution
  • Acted as a single point of contact for senior IT and business stakeholders.
  • Experience managing QA metrics, defect trends, and conducting delivery forums such as:
  • Daily/Weekly/Monthly Status Reviews (DSR, WSR, MSR)

**Position Summary**
The Quality Assurance and Safety Manager (QASM) is responsible for the two major areas, namely, (1) Quality Assurance (compliance), and (2) Safety (aviation safety). The QASM must demonstrate relevant knowledge, background and satisfactory experience related to aircraft or component maintenance and demonstrate a working knowledge of all relevant aviation authorities' requirements.
The QASM is responsible to the Accountable Manager and is also the contact person for all aviation authorities and is authorized to deal with them directly.
**Main Responsibilities**
**Quality Assurance (compliance)**
+ Implement and maintain JAHK quality system.
+ Implement an independent system monitoring JAHK compliance with the exposition, and all applicable aviation authorities.
+ Delegate of inspection approval to specially trained and qualified operations personnel within the scope of the repair station certificate. Whenever qualified operations personnel acts as an inspector, this person is directly reporting to the QASM.
+ Apply the safety policy, to promote its application to all personnel and to establish a system of just culture by following Human factors principles including the aspect of fatigue.
+ Require corrective actions from any Business/Support Unit Leader and/or Department Manager or personnel thereof, in case of non-conformity to Part 145 regulations.
+ Ensure an audit plan is properly implemented, maintained by approving the annual audit programme.
+ Ensure timely corrective actions to all non-conformities resulting from any audits (internal and third party) in the departments within his/her area of responsibility.
+ Report all significant non-conformities including failure to comply with corrective actions to the Accountable Manager and relevant management personnel.
+ Close co-operation with the Business and/or Support Unit leaders to properly address quality deficiency.Ensure a timely response back to the aviation authorities for all corrective and preventive actions resulting from audit findings or other non-conformity reports.
+ Change of given priorities within Quality Department to ensure compliance with aviation authorities' requirements.
+ Control the follow-up on timely corrective actions on all non-conformity findings resulting from audits (internal and third party) from all business units / departments / shops of JAHK.
+ Ensure that the Quality & Safety Department has sufficient personnel and resources.
+ Notification to aviation authorities regarding substantial changes in the JAHK as delegated role from Accountable Manager.
+ Reporting to the Accountable Manager, in cases where due dates cannot be met for the implementation of corrective and preventive actions in time by the concerned business units / departments for all non-conformity findings from audits (internal and third party).

+ Ensure that all suppliers are reviewed, and subcontractors audited as appropriate on a regular basis, and following up the performance of the corresponding reviews and audits as required
+ Ensure the assessment of all certifying staff in any 2-year period, and the initial issue and/or the timely renewal of the corresponding internal certification authorisation.
+ Administration of the exposition and all its supplements and issuance of all corresponding amendments.
+ Ensuring that the Accountable Manager is kept regularly informed on quality and compliance matters.
+ Supervision and distribution through the internal on-line library of all documentation received from OEMs and aviation authorities concerning maintenance, repair, airworthiness directives, safety, etc.
+ Maintain all JAHK maintenance approval certificates issued by the aviation authorities in a current status.
+ Ensure that all personnel in his/her area of responsibility receive appropriate initial and continuation training, as required, to ensure up-to-date knowledge of relevant technology, organisation procedures and Human factors issues.
+ Maintain training records of all certifying staff.
+ Monitor the correct performance of work during maintenance and refurbishment of aircraft and aircraft components.
+ Monitoring that work orders, task cards, and related maintenance documentation are being properly completed.
+ Monitoring of technical documentation used to perform maintenance to ensure current revision status.
+ Monitoring those appropriate forms, certificates, etc. are available for materials / components being installed during maintenance.
+ Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Director of SQEHS to support departmental goals and business needs.

**Aviation safety**
+ Lead and champion all JAHK safety management activities. The person nominated as Safety Manager must not have any conflicting management activities.
+ Apply the safety policy, promote its application to all personnel and establish a system of just culture by following Safety Management principles.
+ Monitor the implementation of actions taken to mitigate risks (FMEA).
+ Ensure internal occurrence investigations are initiated and followed-up
+ Develop and maintain a safety database to facilitate hazard identification, risk assessment and management.
+ Provide periodic reports on the organisation safety performance to the safety review board.
+ Keep the Accountable Manager informed of all safety related matters, specially about trends.
+ Ensure the issuance, review, revision, currency, and/or administration of JAHK Safety Management System documentation and the SMS Manual.
+ Ensure the auditing, monitoring, and analyzing of the SMS in accordance with an approved scheduled audit plan.
+ Ensure safety training meets acceptable standards
+ Provide independent advice on safety related matters.
+ Monitor safety concerns in the aviation industry and their perceived impact on JAHK operations aimed at service delivery.
+ Coordinate and communicate (on behalf of the Accountable Manager) with the aviation authorities as necessary on issues relating to safety.

  • Manage the yearly audit plan (CQA and IPSA) ensuring audits are conducted in the planned month. Escalate any foreseen delay to the GM-CQA
  • Maintain the auditor database up-to-date ensuring all records are available and performance assessments or recurrent training are completed within the defined timeframe, and remain current to perform Quality Assurance Auditing function, or remove / block to prevent them from being assigned to conduct Quality Assurance Audits.
  • Prepare audit checklists, conduct audits and inspections, and conduct follow until closure is successfully achieved accordance with CQM procedures and with the required standard.
  • Manage audit, inspections, projects and compliance matters liaising with all departments and, if required, contracted service providers, provide guidance on compliance with regulations and standards, supporting the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System and Safety Assurance Program across all operational departments in Hong Kong Airlines to ensure compliance with HKCAD regulations, IOSA and other applicable standards.
  • Monitor on a frequent basis the Aviation Quality Database to include the status of findings, root causes, corrective actions, closure and their effectiveness to support the company QMS and SMS; issue reminders and liaise with the relevant stakeholders and actions owner to regain compliance and maintain safe operation.
  • Conduct data analysis (i.e. audit/inspections, findings, root cause and other data), identify trends, risks and areas of improvement; escalate issues and prepare reports to managements deemed necessary and within the specified timeframe.
  • Ensure standardization of the use of the AQD Audit Module by all users.
  • Ensure communication and coordination with departmental QAs and operational managers (or escalation to GM-CQA) in the management of operational risk.

Requirement:
  • University degree
  • 5 years relevant Aviation Quality Assurance experience.
  • Formal training in Quality Management System and Internal Auditing / Auditor.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills with the ability to liaise effectively with management within the airline, external parties, as required for QA monitoring function.
  • Creative and analytical, strong communication.
  • Leadership, project management, persuasive and team player.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of aviation regulations and IOSA.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing and implementing of the policies and internal control mechanism to enhance quality service of branches
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties to manage clients' opinions / complaints and respond in a timely manner
  • Promote quality assurance best practice, organize compliance and quality assurance improvement training and activities to frontline staff
  • Liaise with and monitor performance of outside vendor on mystery shopper programme
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the superior

Requirements

  • Degree or above in Business Administration or related disciplines
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in quality assurance and complaint handling in banking industry
  • Demonstrate strong sense of risk and control
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English
  • Proficient in PC skill especially Excel and Chinese Word Processing

Principal Responsibilities
  • Ensure branch sales staff understand internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Support reviews of workflows and guidelines to improve sales quality and compliance.

  • Customer-centric mindset and ability to handle complex interactions.
  • Proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Associate, Quality Assurance Officer, Equity Sales & Derivatives

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain and implement general risk control and management policy for Equity Sales & Derivatives Department(ESD) to meet all regulatory requirements and company policies;
  • Provide support in carrying out the risk control tasks;
  • Perform trade surveillance for ESD;
  • Perform risk assessments and identify potential risk areas for ESD;
  • Liaise with and carry out risk control reviews with Risk Management Department to ensure the risk control policy is running smoothly and abnormal situations are dealt with immediately;
  • Provide administration support to Quality Assurance;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in business, accounting, law or related disciplines;
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in financial industry, esp. brokerage business, is preferred;
  • Able to perform multi-tasks, attentive to details with good quality and accuracy;
  • A team member with excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Good computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Chinese Word Processing;
  • Good spoken in English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin).
