Systems Analyst / Analyst Programmer (UI/UX Design)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

• Designing and implementing user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces of AI-driven systems for enhancing teaching and learning, such as AI marking, face recognition, and AI presentation mentoring.
• Designing graphical elements, including images, logos, and animations, to enhance website and UI visuals.
• Creating and implementing wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Developing and maintaining design systems and visual hierarchies in accordance with established accessibility guidelines and branding standards.
• Enhancing multimedia components and implementing interactive activities/components for courses to support AI-driven learning experiences.
• Undertaking other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Advancement of Learning and Teaching and his/her nominees.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience, and competence:

• A recognized bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, Graphic Design, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years' post-qualification experience in UI/UX design and system analysis, with demonstrated experience in designing user interfaces. Those with less experience may be considered for the post of Analyst Programmer.
• Proficiency in design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects, Premiere Pro), Figma, and other industry-standard design platforms.
• Hands-on experience with wireframing, prototyping, and user interface design principles.
• Hands-on experience with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, , etc.) and understanding of responsive design principles.
• Experience with design systems, accessibility standards (WCAG), SEO principles, and usability testing methodologies.
• A good command of English.

Job Description:

Responsible for Product design and development, ensuring products meet with engineering specifications, technical standards, and quality requirements.

Leverage manufacturing or production experience to identify feasible design solutions and support smooth transition from design to manufacturing.

Continuously improve existing product designs by analysing potential enhancements and implementing necessary modifications.

Investigate production failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Job Requirements:

Proficiency in using 3D and 2D engineering software such as Creo and AutoCAD.
