Position Overview
We are hiring the UX/UI Design Lead to own the end-to-end product design and visual design processes for our next-generation web and mobile experiences. As a UI/UX design lead, you will be driving the designing process and product design leadership, from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes. You will rely on user-centric design principle to craft industry-leading user experiences and meet the product goals. As a senior designer, You'll work with design team, set the bar for design quality, give constructive feedback to peers, and partner closely with product and engineering to ship features at pace.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute end-to-end design projects that deliver intuitive user experience for blockchain and web3 products.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate requirements into intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
- Utilize various research techniques such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and ethnographic studies to gather qualitative and quantitative data.
- Develop user-centered design concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and user flows that address user needs and align with business goals.
- Maintain unified and high-quality design systems that adhere to style guides and brand identity.
- Lead and mentor junior designers and help develop best practices through constructive feedback and documentation.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, or a related field.
- At least 2+ years of leading product design and visual design teams.
- At least 5+ years of product design experience, including research, prototyping, and implementation of user-facing applications.
- Proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma, Framer, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in user research techniques and tools, such as interviews, surveys, usability testing software, and analytics platforms.
- Excellent product and interaction design skills, with a strong portfolio that reflects independent project ownership and high-quality execution.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and rationale to cross-functional teams.

- Serving on committees and task forces as appropriate; and

- A recognized university degree and a professional library qualification (e.g. AALIA, ALA, MCLIP, MLIS or equivalent);
- At least 6 years’ relevant post-qualification experience, preferably in an academic library;

About The OpportunityAs a Content Designer, you are the bridge between our users and our products. Your expertise in crafting clear, concise, and accurate content not only builds trust with our users but also transforms complex product features into intuitive, easy-to-understand experiences. You will foster relationships with key stakeholders across various departments, including Product Management, Product Design, Marketing, User Research, Engineering, and Localization.
What You’ll Be Doing- Craft clear, concise, and user-centered content for digital products, including UI text, microcopy, error messages, tooltips, and onboarding flows, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, product designers, UX researchers, and developers to understand user needs, product goals, and technical constraints, and deliver content that enhances functionality and usability.
- Develop content strategies that align with the company’s brand voice and tone, driving consistency across platforms and products, while adapting to different user personas, use cases, and business needs.
- Conduct user research, A/B testing, and content audits to analyze the effectiveness of content, gather insights, and iterate on content solutions to improve user engagement and satisfaction.
- Create and maintain content guidelines, style guides, and best practices to ensure a cohesive content experience across multiple teams and projects, fostering alignment and scalability.
- At least 5 years of content writing or UX writing and people management experience
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in English, Language Studies, Journalism, Communications, Translations or Interpretation or related fields
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and outstanding ability to write in English at a near-native level
- Proven experience in various forms of writing, such as content strategy, UI copy, microcopies and user education
- Experience in creating style guides, content framework, and working with diverse or global teams
- Proactive problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying and addressing issues in a timely manner
- Deep commitment to enhancing user experience, prioritizing user needs and insights into content creation
- Experience or familiarity with the crypto or blockchain industry
- Proficiency in design and localization software
- International experience, covering content targeted towards different geographical regions
- Proficiency in written Chinese is a bonus but not required
