Principal Responsibilities
In this role you will
- Establish new client relationships and strengthen existing ones
- Communicate new products and propositions to clients, with focus on structured trade products
- Identify potential core & structured trade opportunities and escalate these where appropriate to cater for client requirements
- Manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, developing and maintaining strong working relationships
- Work with Client Implementation Services in a timely fashion to ensure an efficient transition process for complex clients
- Support achievement of the HSBC vision, Values, goals and culture in personal behaviour, actions and decision making
- Provide technical leadership and support technical excellence by searching out external best practice, monitoring technical and professional developments, sharing knowledge and encouraging others to do the same in the best interests of HSBC and its customers
- Develop and recommend changes and improvements to operating models, procedures and practices based on subject matter expertise and understanding of HSBC and market best practice
- Communicate and adhere to HSBC policy and procedures in order to ensure good operational, financial and project management, policy and procedural compliance and early identification and effective resolution or escalation of issues that arise
Requirements
To be successful you will need
- Bachelor Degree in Finance, Business or related discipline
- Extensive knowledge of global trade solutions including core and structured trade
- Good understanding of the market trends, competitive environment, Credit & risk and regulatory environment
- Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs through matching a broad range of products and services
- Ability to interact with business customers at all levels
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations in English (mandatory), Cantonese and Mandarin (preferred)

This role will lead all sales activities for SAILAS team. Will identify, qualify and close wide range of maritime VSAT solutions, VAS and professional engineering services. The primary focus will be on acquiring new business, customers and support strategic partnerships and alliances.
The candidate will have in-depth knowledge and industry experience in the maritime community and will be expected to make an immediate impact. He/She will have individual sales targets and closely work with internal departments to ensure successful closing of the sales opportunities.
Responsibilities
• Drive maritime sales, develop and execute the sales plan to acquire new business to achieve the revenue targets
• Lead sales team to meet revenue goals and manage sales pipelines to allow accurate forecasting of our existing solutions and services

• 15 years' experience working in a sales role, related to maritime communications and solutions with a demonstrated track record of sales. Experience in management role is a plus.
• Experience in solutions selling of VSAT, L-band and maritime VAS solutions
• Proven ability to understand the complexity of our customer's business and network requirements to enable to demonstrate AsiaSat's value in its solutions and products
• Strong understanding of satellite and technology trends to enable the ability to identify and predict customer needs and demands and execute action plans to deliver the results

- Strong communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin fluency required).
- Preferably licensed under the Hong Kong SFC for Type 1 and Type 4 regulated activities.
- Self-motivated, client-focused, and capable of working independently with excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of financial products and investment strategies is essential.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
