The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (“HKTDC”), the statutory organisation promoting Hong Kong’s external trade, seeks a dynamic and high-caliber professional to join our Creative Department.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the overall production of 2D graphics and the workflow system for corporate events and trade fairs (including on-site supervision)
  • Plan ahead and provide creative input, set innovative graphic templates for team members to follow
  • Give art direction / artistic advice in different phases of production of corporate publicity materials, including at printing process, photo shoots, and during video filming, editing / multi-media devices
  • Prepare concept presentations to pitch to internal customers
  • Liaise with different departments on design requirements
  • Cooperate with 3D designers / DO colleagues on the creative workflow system for assigned projects
  • Quality control of work assigned
  • Maintain good quality control and improve cost-efficiency on all projects with suppliers
  • Handle ad hoc / special projects assigned by DH/CR
  • Provide assistance for on-site setup and preparations
Requirements:
  • Degree holder with 8 years relevant working experience in graphic and branding design is required. Non-degree holders with strong experience will also be considered
  • Proficiency in using Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere & Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel
  • Proven record of managing all aspects of a successful digital product lifecycle
  • Strong organisational, project management, and planning skills; able to prioritise multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining work quality
  • Strong design sense and able to work independently or in a team to meet tight project deadlines
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills in English & Chinese
  • Responsible and self-motivated, with good communication and interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a good team player
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with short timelines
Remuneration and Benefits:

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A competitive remuneration and benefits package, including annual leave, medical, and dental benefits, will be offered.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork and project management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills with a proficient command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Passion for automobiles.

Position Responsibilities

  • Proposals: Leads the preparation of proposals, including outlines, schedules, and content development. Contributes to the selection of consultants and makes teaming recommendations within specific area(s) of expertise.

  • Salesforce and Pipeline Management: References and contributes to Pursuit and Project objects. Works with Pursuit Leads to ensure data accuracy and to ensure that pursuits are moving through the sales funnel. Uses Salesforce to track business plan implementation.
  • Expertise: Strong working knowledge of A/E/I services offered by SOM. Develops area(s) of expertise, either geographically or by functional market.
  • Training: Contributes to training of Marketing Coordinators and Senior Marketing Coordinators.
  • Business Development: Represents the firm in client and professional organizations, attends functions as appropriate, and nurtures new business leads.
  • Assists with other duties and tasks as may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion of four-year undergraduate degree or equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • 5+ years experience in marketing within the A/E/C industry.
  • Strong writing and graphic design skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work with senior leaders across a firm.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and OpenAsset is a plus.
  • Must be passionate about architectural design to undertake marketing, business development, and proposal preparation.
  • Ability to work and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

A Brief Overview

This role is to support the Business Development team on client engagement and marketing strategy. To prepare, plan and execute marketing activities and client engagement activities, under guidance from Head of Business Development and Research & Marketing Lead.

What You Will Do

  • Event Execution Assists with the planning and managing end-to-end execution and logistics of RGA events and industry conference programs with direction from Head of Business Development and/or Research & Marketing lead. Responsibilities include but not limited to, clients gifts sourcing and ordering, design and delivery of meeting materials, signage and promotional items; completing conference sponsorship and registration documentation, coordinating client meetings, assisting RGA speakers with presentation and audio-visual needs, and other duties as needed or assigned.
  • Content Generation Assist in content generation and the preparation of customized presentations and marketing materials for clients. Coordinates general marketing efforts for the local office, including but not limited to produce market-relevant, attractive, and timely content for newsletters and other marketing materials with guidance from Research & Marketing lead.
  • Communication coordination You will take an active participation in the management, edition and coordination of the mass communications sent to clients (RGA events, webinars, press releases, etc), along with social media used by business development with the guidance from Research and Marketing lead. Also assist in managing the RGA HK Marketing email account; ensure accurate target audience lists for client newsletters, webinars and regularly reviewing CRM records.
  • Administrative support for marketing and client activities Provide administrative support to the Head of Business Development. You will ensure that the logistics of client activities and meetings are made in accordance with expectations and assist in the management of the agendas. Issue visit reports for CRM. Extend administrative support and coordinate meetings to other requisite leaders on request.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in a related field required
  • 2+ Years experience business development and/or marketing required
  • 2+ Years experience in the financial services industry required
  • Intermediate Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills required
  • Ability to be flexible when needed, take initiative, and demonstrate accountability required
  • Intermediate oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge required
  • Ability to set goals and handle multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously; Ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables required
  • Intermediate investigative, analytical and problem solving skills required
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in department projects required
  • Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives required
  • Ability to work independently required
  • Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines and work well with all levels of management required
