Job Description

Interactive Brokers Hong Kong Limited ("IBHK") is expanding its Risk Assessment Team (RA) within the New Accounts Department at our Hong Kong office. We are searching for candidates with prior experience in the financial services industry, extraordinary attention to detail, and strong communication skills. The RA department liaises with Interactive Brokers' retail and professional clients.

The IBHK RA is accountable for providing high-quality reviews of Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know-Your-Customer (KYC), sanctioning and Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) issues for retail customers, financial advisors, hedge fund operators and other broker-dealers. We aim to facilitate client onboarding by providing regulatory and compliance guidance while building and maintaining long-term client relationships as we expand our global service offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) review on Individual and Corporate applications following policies and desktop procedures; identify and escalate potential AML risks
  • Analyze and verify the source of funds/wealth information through the public domain or documentation
  • Investigate and process alerts from multiple queues, sourcing information as appropriate from external sources and/or internal personnel to investigate and process alerts effectively
  • Evaluate and resolve negative news and/or red flags or potential PEP matches escalated by other New Account Teams
  • Run checks in the Offshore Leaks Database and conduct public domain searches for negative information related to applicants and associated entities
  • Provide advice on issues and escalations to other New Accounts Teams to address difficult applications and independently recommend risk-based decisions to AML
  • Responsible for timely escalations of suspected financial crime to AML
  • Work closely with other New Account teams and AML to review and evaluate all financial crime risks

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: 2-3 years in Client Service and/or Financial Service preferred. Fresh graduates with a relevant academic background who are motivated and demonstrate the right aptitude will also be considered
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience and familiarity, preferably gained in brokerage or corporate banking environment, with onboarding or reviewing high-risk client relationships and carrying out EDD
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is advantageous
  • Strong research, investigatory, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to make risk-based recommendations and articulate those persuasively to other departments
  • Able to multitask various projects and firm initiatives
  • Prior experience in a highly automated environment and/or a high degree of comfort with computers and technology
  • Intermediate experience with MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, medium-sized office environment

You should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) in relevant risk management disciplines (e.g., Operational Risk management within an IT department or organisation, Information Security, IT Risk Management)
  • Professional risk management certification (e.g., ISO 31000) and /or industry body affiliation is an advantage
  • Experienced seasoned professional with expertise in developing and running an Operational Risk Management function within an IT Division or organisation
  • Proven track record in leading a risk function in a Technology environment, particularly with experience in control assessment
  • 7+ years of experience in enacting the first line of defence IT operational risk role and responsibilities


Technical Skills

  • Capable of understanding the Club's unique nature and culture in terms of Risk Management
  • Capable of assessing and quantifying technology and operational risks, assessing mitigation measures and providing practical recommendations on risk mitigation controls when needed
  • Understand industry best practices and trends on IT standards, governance, risk, and internal control
  • Experience in Control Assessment methodology and have deployed Risk Control Self Assessment program (RCSA)
  • Experience in delivering technology and/or operational risk management frameworks from inception
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture, service management, asset management, change management and systems migration
  • A good understanding of business and product knowledge of the Club and the business strategies, priorities, risks and controls in his/her core or functional area of responsibility

  • Ensure the hospital safety management system aligns with the requirement of Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation Standards for Hospital
  • Liaise with external parties such as Labour Department (LD), Fire Service Department (FSD) on safety, staff training and licensing issue.
  • Ensure safety inspections are conducted and its improvement measures implemented and evaluated.
  • Promote in-house occupational safety management system and initiate improvements as necessary.
  • Monitor hazards and incidents in work areas and assist departments to resolve any OSH-related issues.
  • Ensure the chemical safety of the hospital, including register of hazardous substance, contingency plan for emergency situations and chemical waste disposal.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree is required
  • Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health is preferable
  • 4 years of related working experience
  • Related experience in medical industry will be an advanced
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Responsible, self-motivated and able to work independently

  • Develop and ensure maintenance of the QMS, SMS and SeMS Manuals;
  • Close liaison with various regulatory bodies, including HKCAD and relevant external entities on all matters pertaining to QMS and SMS, and SeMS respectively;
  • Promote an integrated culture of quality, safety and security assurance;
  • Work in partnership with functional departments and Duty Holders to maintain a robust system, ensuring conformance of regulatory/company standards, and continuous improvement of best practices;
  • Develop, implement and maintain the Corporate Emergency Response Plan and Crisis Management System, and manage E&A exercises with counterparts of the Cathay Pacific Group;
  • Develop, implement and maintain all relevant Training Programs and aircrew written examinations to ensure compliance with regulatory standards;
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on Sustainability related initiatives, including Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme (CORSIA);
  • To serve as the deputy to the Post Holder for Quality Management, Safety Management, and Security during the absence of the Head of Safety and Risk Management, and deputy to the Head of Safety and Risk Management all other matters related to the Safety and Risk Management function

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

  • University graduate or tertiary education with minimum 8 years relevant experience in the aviation industry, and at least 3 years in a management position.
  • High level of expertise and professional qualifications in the field of quality assurance, safety management and security management.
  • Hands on experience in the airline's ground to air operations, and/or auditing experience will be a strong advantage.
  • An effective communicator who is strong in collaboration, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Solid analytical & organizational skills with an eye for detail.
  • Commitment in driving a culture of continuous improvement and “can-do” spirit.

Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented EHS Representative to be based full-time at our client’s data centre site. This role is critical in ensuring that all environmental, health, and safety standards are upheld in accordance with both company policies and local regulations. You will act as the key liaison between the client, contractors, and internal teams to promote a safe and compliant working environment.

Job Description

  • Monitor and enforce EHS compliance on-site, ensuring adherence to all relevant legislation and client requirements
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions
  • Deliver EHS training and toolbox talks to site personnel
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to safety performance and incidents
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and client representatives to drive continuous improvement in EHS practices
  • Review contractors Risk Assessments and Method statements prior to each element of work to check that the whole scope of the work has been captured and that it appears a safe system of work is in place detailing hazards and control measures (that each task has been suitably planned).
  • Where improvement opportunities are observed keep a record of these on a day to day basis.
  • Conduct formal Audits of the physical site and documentation pertaining to the Contractors HSE Management System, provide reports detailing findings and recommended actions to close any gaps.
  • Analyse data collected from inspections, near-miss and hazard reports, identify trends and implement initiatives and processes to proactively manage issues identified.
  • Work with the project team and contractor to manage any design changes during the construction phase, highlight where safety may be impacted and ensure the project team have suitable control prior to the change being implemented.
  • Monitor to ensure the contractor updates their Contract HSSE Plan throughout the construction phase as appropriate.
  • Assist the project team to ensure suitable welfare is provided for the contractor and that arrangements are in place for the welfare to be suitably maintained.
  • Ensure all minor incidents are investigated by the contractor and all incidents are logged into Clients incident management system
  • Conduct an investigation to determine the root cause and any underlying causes for:
  • incidents with a major injury (or the potential for a major injury)
  • Any breach of a Client Life Saving Rule (LSR)
  • Work with the Contractor to ensure information is collated to ensure a smooth handover of areas to FM following work.
  • input into lessons learned workshops / meetings.
  • Provide Monthly HSSE reports.
  • Any other duties required to ensure safe operations on site.

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification in HSE
  • Registered Safety Officer preferred
  • 8+ Years (or equivalent) experience managing construction & refurbishment projects
  • In-depth understanding of construction risks, incl. electricity, work at height, hot works, use of lifting equipment etc.
  • Experience in coordinating the projects in Data Centre sector preferred
  • Understanding and experience of construction work in occupied facilities

Qualifications and Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Health and Environment or other relevant disciplines
+ A Registered Safety Officer under the Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Safety Officers and Safety Supervisors) Regulations, Chapter 59Z.
+ With a minimum of 5 years post-registered working experience in relevant experience
+ Work independently, fast leaner with good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
+ Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese

  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and client representatives to drive continuous improvement in EHS practices
  • Review contractors Risk Assessments and Method statements prior to each element of work to check that the whole scope of the work has been captured and that it appears a safe system of work is in place detailing hazards and control measures (that each task has been suitably planned).
  • Where improvement opportunities are observed keep a record of these on a day to day basis.
  • Conduct formal Audits of the physical site and documentation pertaining to the Contractors HSE Management System, provide reports detailing findings and recommended actions to close any gaps.
  • Analyse data collected from inspections, near-miss and hazard reports, identify trends and implement initiatives and processes to proactively manage issues identified.
  • Work with the project team and contractor to manage any design changes during the construction phase, highlight where safety may be impacted and ensure the project team have suitable control prior to the change being implemented.
  • Monitor to ensure the contractor updates their Contract HSSE Plan throughout the construction phase as appropriate.
  • Assist the project team to ensure suitable welfare is provided for the contractor and that arrangements are in place for the welfare to be suitably maintained.
  • Ensure all minor incidents are investigated by the contractor and all incidents are logged into Clients incident management system
  • Conduct an investigation to determine the root cause and any underlying causes for:
  • incidents with a major injury (or the potential for a major injury)
  • Any breach of a Client Life Saving Rule (LSR)
  • Work with the Contractor to ensure information is collated to ensure a smooth handover of areas to FM following work.
  • input into lessons learned workshops / meetings.
  • Provide Monthly HSSE reports.
  • Any other duties required to ensure safe operations on site.
Qualifications
  • Professional qualification in HSE
  • Registered Safety Officer preferred
  • 8+ Years (or equivalent) experience managing construction & refurbishment projects
  • In-depth understanding of construction risks, incl. electricity, work at height, hot works, use of lifting equipment etc.
  • Experience in coordinating the projects in Data Centre sector preferred
  • Understanding and experience of construction work in occupied facilities
