Position Description
The Youth Services (YS) team of Mother's Choice is committed to embracing, equipping, and empowering
vulnerable youth and pregnant girls to transform their lives for a hopeful future. Each year, thousands of
teenage girls face crisis pregnancy with no support, and thousands of children are in need of a family for a
number of reasons including neglect, abuse, abandonment, or family breakdown. We're here to help the most
vulnerable in our community by providing high-quality services for children, youth and families, and actively
providing ways to prevent the problem. Our goal is to "break the cycle" so that every child can be with a safe,
loving and permanent family.
We are looking for a Program Officer II, Youth Services (Program) who plays a key role in planning and
delivering pregnant youth alumni community development and support program to equip and empower youth
at-risk of crisis pregnancy and pregnant teenagers with sexual health knowledge, life skills and community
network to make informed decisions about their future. S/he also works with internal departments over
initiatives to raise public awareness of teenage pregnancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementing Pregnant Youth Alumni Support Program 
- Support and implement community development and peer support programs for alumni, i.e. youths 
after facing crisis pregnancy (in the format of small group and peer education) to empower them with
skills and networks to own their decisions and plan for the future
- Liaise with external partners (NGOs, corporates, educational institutes) for program implementation 
- Maintain accurate records of support program activities including implementing measures / survey in 
evaluating the effectiveness of project work, logging purchase requisitions and receipts for accurate
budgeting and assisting with the preparation of reports
- Support and co-facilitate in the Baby's First 100 Days Parenting Training and Baby's First Year
Parenting Training, to empower the teen mums with skills and knowledge to own their new mother
roles
- Implementing Pregnant Girls Home Program (PGH) 
- Coordinate the PGH and YS Familiarization Day for MC new joiners, to help other team members to 
understand PGS service and enhance collaboration
- Support, develop and implement the daily programs in PGH, to equip girls with basic concepts of
sexuality education, self-care and personal growth
- Supporting Collaborative Initiatives on Teenage Pregnancy Awareness 
- Coordinate and Support Senior Program Officer in communicating with internal departments and 
external stakeholders in the execution of community education projects to raise public awareness of
the issue of youth crisis pregnancy
- Coordinate with cross departments to present creative use of materials and multi-channels including
digital platforms to engage young people
- Supporting Youth Services Initiatives 
- Support the sexuality education sub-team of Youth Services team to conduct sexuality education 
programs for at-risk and vulnerable youth
- Undertake other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A university degree holder or above in a field related to Social Science is preferred 
- 2 years or more of experience in working with at-risk/vulnerable youth, sexual health issues, social 
marketing or community work
- Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in facilitating small group/peer
education/outreach or counselling with youth
- Commitment to help youth to make informed decisions while adhering to the values of Health, Safety
and Access to Information
- Good written and spoken Chinese and English skills; ability to communicate effectively in Cantonese
is a must
- Flexible and can work during occasional evenings and weekends and in different service program
locations as the project demands
- Must share the commitment of Mother's Choice in upholding the safety and protection of children as

- Strategically plan and manage the Youth Services Volunteer Program (i.e. Professional Volunteers, Event and Child Care Assistant) with Volunteer Engagement team to update polices, processes and manual to ensure replicability and sustainability.
- Work collaboratively with partners (both internal and external including universities) to integrate evaluations in the programs to improve their effectiveness and impact on the community.
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of other Youth Services initiatives such as conferences workshops, interns' development to amplify the reach and increase public awareness on the plight of issues vulnerable youth and children face.
- Undertake other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- University degree or above;
- 5 years or more of experience in program execution and management; ideally with a focus on youth, sexual health, public health, community work and other related disciplines
- Leadership capability to build relationships with partners as well as mobilize staff and volunteers in championing the course of our work
- Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in planning and supervising workshop/small group/counselling with youth

Swire Trust Go-Givers Program aims to encourage skilled volunteers to support Swire Trust NGO partners in education, marine conservation, and arts. 
From now until 2025, 10 outstanding volunteers will be selected annually as the "Swire Trust Go-Givers of the Year" with special and empowering rewards. 40 volunteers who contribute the highest number of hours annually will also be recognised Meet our previous Go-Givers here and view the rewards here .

What We Do
TFHK envisions a future where all children in Hong Kong have equal opportunity to learn, grow and realize their potential. Our mission is to nurture future leaders to bring education equity. Through our one-year TFHK Fellowship Program, we recruit and empower the most promising and passionate young leaders to serve in underprivileged schools as full-time teachers. We are now in our 5th year with 36 Fellows, teaching full-time in 17 local underprivileged schools and have served over 20,000 underprivileged students. We are also funded by the Government's SIE Fund, The D. H. Chen Foundation and The Jockey Club Charities Trust and are thriving as one of the fastest-growing non-profits.

Job Description
Be part of our movement to drive systemic change in education equity and youth leadership development
Project DetailsWhat we need
- Assist in the planning and execution of ongoing training and activities for Fellowship cohort, including but not limited to logistics support and event facilitation
- Coordinate with our Fellows and corporate partners in planning and executing Life and Career Education activities for students in our partner schools
- Conduct research and design for the Fellowship Program enhancement on topics of leadership development, action research, coaching, etc.
