Budgeting and forecasting
- Partner with department heads to drive the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting exercise for all business units
- Continuously improve the budgeting/forecasting process to support the delivery of the company's strategic objectives
Business Performance Review
- Analyse the monthly management report including profit and loss account, cash flow reports and balance sheet etc., interpret the financial and non-financial data and KPIs to provide deep insights on actual performance vs. budget/forecast
- Research on the latest trends, updates, and new economy platform players in the automotive market, and propose appropriate benchmarking for business evaluation
Financial partner to the business units
- Partner with department heads to provide professional support and advice in terms of business performance monitoring, financial implications of various business activities, investment evaluation, and cost controls opportunities etc.
Special projects
- Drive company level strategic initiatives and push for results through working with various functional heads
- Prepare scenario planning or other financial modelling to assist management's decision-making on potential business opportunities or investments
Other supports
- Support management with insightful storytelling regarding business performance to be used for all external key stakeholders
- Prepare required regular and ad-hoc presentation materials to external key stakeholders, e.g. shareholder and other Jardines group functions
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting/BBA with CPA qualification
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in Big-4 advisory/corporate finance; or in a retail industry's FP&A/Corporate Finance team. Experience in the automotive or other consumer retail sectors is highly preferred
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills and ability to think both strategically and laterally
- Confidence and proven ability to interpret financial data and distil key message behind to influence management's decision-making
- Experienced in structuring, managing and coordinating cross-functional projects
- Excellent in Excel modelling and PowerPoint formatting skills
- Strong research and presentation skills
- A proactive self-starter and problem solver, and able to work under pressure and manage multiple projects at a time
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills in both English and Cantonese
- Ability to work well with people at all levels and all functions
- Interested in automotive industry is a plus

The Role:
The Group Finance Manager will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy, governance, and operations of the business in Hong Kong, the UK and the US. The successful candidate be responsible for building and managing a robust finance function, ensuring compliance with local regulations, driving financial performance, and supporting strategic decision-making across the group.
The successful candidate will play an active part of the management team. Reporting directly to the Senior Management Team, they will assist and contribute to decisions on the future direction of the Group. This will require engaging with a range of international stakeholders (both internal and external) which requires the successful candidate to have proficiency in both English and Mandarin.
The successful candidate will assume responsibility for day-to-day accounting activities for the Group (HK, UK, and US), whilst leading and supporting as appropriate key projects and initiatives to contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the company. The successful candidate will also contribute to other functional areas critical to the success of the Group. This will include leveraging expertise from third party providers in these areas as needed. The range of areas are indicative but initially include areas such as human resources, technology and facilities management.

Responsibilities:
Finance
· Lead and manage all Financial operations across Hong Kong, the UK and the US
· Produce accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual Financial statements
· Oversee consolidation of Group accounts, ensuring alignment with relevant Financial reporting standards
· Develop and manage cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
· Partner with the leadership team to shape Financial strategy, business plans, and funding needs

Experience and Qualification Requirements

Your Main Duties & Responsibilities
Financial and Performance Reporting
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of periodic financial statements for APES funds and the APES business, while managing associated audits.
- Produce periodic valuations (NAV calculations) of APES' fund assets in accordance with the firm's Valuation Policy.
- Maintain the accuracy of fund performance metrics included in all investor communications and reports; prepare ad hoc calculations to address investor inquiries.
- Ensure all necessary tax and regulatory filings are completed promptly.
- Manage credit facilities, including loan drawdowns, repayments, and renewal terms.
- Oversee treasury management, including account setup, deposits, invoice tracking, payments, and cash flow forecasting.
Fund Operations
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all fund subscriptions, redemptions, and transfers by fund administrators.
- Monitor and ensure that fund administrator's outputs (capital call / distribution / NAV statements) are accurate and timely.
- Validate management fee, performance fee and carried interest calculations, as well as expense allocations.

- Forecast fund-level cash flows, manage foreign currency exposure and optimize use of credit lines (where available).
- Optimize investment and divestment structures from a tax perspective.
Requirements
