About the Role

As a Security Manager, you will be ensuring smooth daily operations of the Security Department, safeguarding hotel assets and managing manpower for special events.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Director of Security in planning, organizing, supervising staff and quality controls in the Security Department.
• Manage duty rosters, leave requests and manpower planning for special events and VIP functions.
• Attend all necessary meetings and disseminate all relevant information obtained to Shifts Supervisors, ensuring the team maintain crime awareness and protection of Hotel assets.
• Handle incident reports, accident reports, E-log reports and maintenance records in line with prescribed format and standards.
• Deliver security training to team members and other Departments.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Management.

About You

• Diploma or certificate in Security Management with valid Security Personnel Permit and driving license.
• At least 5 years of experience, including 3 years of supervisory experience in the Hotel or Security Industry.
• Strong risk assessment and independent operational capabilities; familiar with access control, alarm monitoring, and CCTV systems.
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

The Security Manager is responsible for supporting the Security Director in overseeing the security operations and personnel for the organization. This includes serving as a liaison with local law enforcement, monitoring the organization's property and assets, assisting with the management of the security fleet and training of security staff, as well as handling security incidents, reporting, claims investigation, and security for special events.

• Act as the primary point of contact for local law enforcement agencies, coordinating with police on security matters, incidents, and investigations.
• Monitor the organization's physical property, facilities, and assets to ensure the security and safety of personnel and resources.
• Provide primary response to security incidents.
• Assist the Security Director in the management and maintenance of the security vehicle fleet security systems and coordinating with the fleet management department.
• Support the planning and delivery of security training programs for all security personnel, including new hire onboarding, continuing education, and specialized skills development.
• Participate in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance the overall security posture of the organization including ensuring Standard Operating Procedures and Contingency Plans are relevant and updated on an annual basis and more frequently if required by changes in the external threat environment.
• Provide backup coverage and support for the Security Director as needed, including attending meetings, conducting security assessments, and making operational decisions.

Requirements for this post

• 5+ years of experience in a security or law enforcement role, with a focus on security operations and management
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with law enforcement, internal stakeholders, and external partners
• Proficiency in security-related software, technology, and equipment
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and crisis management skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver's license and the ability to operate a variety of security vehicles

Principal responsibilities

• Ensure all IT practices align with local cybersecurity regulations and internal cybersecurity standards for both banking and insurance sectors (e.g., HKMA C-RAF, HK IA GL20, etc.), and maintain proper and timely communication with various stakeholders.
