Purpose of role

The Creative Director is act as the project manager and team leader of a Presentations design team. You are responsible for the quality of the work produced and delivery of product that match the creative vision of the client.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversees the production process of highly customized client branded PowerPoint Presentations
  • Communicate with client to understand project needs and present ideas
  • Conceive and design style frames and storyboards for pre-visualizations
  • Conceptualize and execute high-quality visuals for clients
  • Work with other designers to create and design high-caliber graphics and other visuals
  • Bring forward new and unique ideas and approaches
  • Interact with different levels of management, production and design teams
  • Liaise and work with overseas design teams for collaboration

Personal attributes

  • Master or Degree holder in Art or Design or related discipline
  • 10+ years experience in Corporate Design is preferred
  • Mastery of Adobe Software
  • Ability to prioritize under tight time constraints and to work successfully in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective interpersonal skills across teams and when liaising with clients
  • Knowledge of designing for print and print formats
  • Ownership of projects, with the ability to carry out projects from concept to delivery
  • Understanding of narrative structure and storytelling

  • Possession of great presentation skills – both in creation and verbalization

Summary of Role

Creative Director is responsible for providing support and managing design development of projects and team in Hong Kong , Japan and the wider APAC region, as well as managing the Presentations services

Reporting into the Senior Account Manager, who holds overall accountability for delivering all services provided in-country, this role will also be responsible for the overall liaison between the design discipline teams and the clients, ensuring designs are delivered on time in the most efficient and cost-effective way

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspire, lead and drive high quality creative production output from conception through to completion
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to deliver value, quality and strategic output for them
  • Identify creative production opportunities within the bank, helping to create a pipeline of design projects
  • Align approach within the studio with client strategies
  • Deliver industry insight and market trends to drive innovation
  • Collaboration with the wider WL creative production community globally
  • Identify and develop solutions which meet client requirements, work within the client brand guidelines and are accessible for the intended audience
  • Provide creative consultation as part of the briefing process with the studio on best solutions

    and media, to ensure a successful output and happy client
  • Leading Presentations teams in resource management and issue resolution
  • Hands on management of complex jobs, pre-empting issues, coordinating work and production, including print and delivery
  • Monitor progress of activities to ensure adherence to deadlines, quality standards, and client brand guidelines
  • Ensure that message quality, format, and content meet the brief and are consistent with firm-wide communication guidelines
  • Guide and advise members of the team in the design and use of template material, providing training where necessary
  • To be a technical expert in all areas of design for print and digital media
  • To ensure quality control and pre-flight checking procedures are adhered
  • To support the Project Manager in ensuring internal workflow practices are adhered to within the studio, and all billable work is recorded
  • Ensuring SLA/KPIs are constantly met with monthly/quarterly  reporting
  • Complete and provide on time monthly financial spend, volume/analytics and general health of service

Key Competencies and Required Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills, articulate, personable and confident

  • Mastery of design tools: Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop (After Effects is a plus)
  • Experience in Generative AI is a huge bonus.
  • Strong experience in using AI in creative processes and staying on track with the latest tools
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills
  • Mastery of composition, typography, color, aesthetics, visual and imagery
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines & fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire the creative team to uphold brand standards and foster innovation.
  • Assign tasks, manage workloads, and oversee daily team workflows.
  • Act as the vision-keeper, ensuring alignment and motivation across the team.
  • Translate marketing strategies into creative concepts that drive business growth.
  • Oversee tasks and projects from concept to production, ensuring quality, budget, and deadlines are met.
  • Maintain a cohesive brand voice and style throughout the creative process.
  • Leverage digital platforms and AI technologies to create engaging marketing content.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Advertising, Marketing, Arts, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the design and advertising field, with a strong foundation in Design, Art, Advertising, or Marketing. Experience in the hospitality industry or working with hospitality clients is an advantage.
  • Proven track record of creative expertise in both online and offline integrated campaigns, supported by a portfolio showcasing successful projects from in-house and agency roles.
  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to guide and inspire a team of designers, photographers, and multimedia producers to achieve creative excellence.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered tools and platforms, including AI-generated art, automated content creation, and AI-driven image and video editing, to streamline creative processes, boost efficiency, and develop innovative ideas that redefine creative boundaries.
  • Expertise in major graphic design software, with proficiency in motion graphics, 3D modeling, effects, color theory, and audio mixing.
  • A creative and forward-thinking mindset, eager to explore new ideas and innovations in design and communication strategies.
  • Exceptional managerial and organizational skills, capable of handling multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
