Job descriptions-  Assist Film Distribution team with movie releases for overseas markets

- Assist Film Distribution & Marketing to collect film materials and prepare marketing materials (online and offline)

- Perform video production and subtitling to fulfill the need of film material delivery to overseas clients

- Manage social media contents, from concept to practice, for online marketing campaign

- Support onsite promotional activities and ad-hoc assignments (when required)

- Co-ordinate movie material inventory and logistics and review translation and subtitling of feature film

- Coordination for film festivals and film markets

- Assist in other ad-hoc duties as required

Job requirement

  • Degree or above in Films, Creative Media or related discipline
  • 1-2 years of related working experience is an advantage
  • Hands-on experience with design software (Photoshop, AI and Illustrator, InDesign, etc) and video editing 
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills 
  • A strong interest in film industry is an advantage
  • Fresh graduates will be considered as Film Distribution Assistant

Assistant Executive Officer

The School of Creative Arts (SCA) is comprised of three well-established academic units, namely the Academy of Film, Academy of Music, and Academy of Visual Arts.  Our distinguished faculty includes experts from different arts disciplines who are dedicated to high-quality teaching, high-impact research and creative work, and pioneering professional development.

The Academy of Film ) is dedicated to providing cinematic arts and creative media education to cultivate talented professionals capable of contributing to Hong Kong's arts and cultural industries.  The Academy of Film includes the following areas: film and media studies, film and television production, script writing, post-production, and acting for global screen.

We are seeking highly motivated and experienced individuals for the position of Assistant Executive Officer. As a valued member of our administrative team, the appointee will contribute to the seamless functioning of the Academy of Film.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the full spectrum of functions in undergraduate programmes in the Academy, including administration of academic programmes, admission, academic advising, reports compilation, quality assurance, student scholarship / award and student affairs;
  • Assist the daily operation of the programmes;
  • Support student recruitment, admission, marketing and promotion;
  • Support student events and co-curricular activities;
  • Support committee services;
  • handle finance matters; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A recognised relevant bachelor's degree or above with at least one year of relevant work experience of administrative experience, preferably in a higher education setting;
  • Excellent command of English, Chinese and Putonghua and proficient in MS Office and English word processing;
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to challenges and a willingness to accept challenges and adapt to changing circumstances;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work under tight schedule and pressure;
  • A good team player with the ability to multi-task and be attentive to details; and
  • Social media and design experience is a plus.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

The appointment will be offered on a one-year fixed-term contract, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

對電影物料進行初步狀況檢查,並進行基本及必要的修復,同時提取知識資訊

To conduct comprehensive technical inspection and document in details the condition of the film materials including but not limited to prints, picture negatives, optical soundtracks and subtitle negatives

To prepare, clean and repair the film materials prior on loan and relevant processes

To inspect the film materials after loan and cross-check its condition against the condition report

To assist in packing, unpacking, transportation and racking of film materials in the stores

To conduct preliminary condition checking and make basic and essential repair on the film materials including but not limited to used prints, picture negatives, optical soundtracks, subtitle negatives and retrieval of intellectual information

To assist in the logistic arrangements and implementation of location numbering, bar-coding, and stock-taking

To perform any other film handling duties assigned by the representatives
