KCC’s facilities are also open to outside bodies such as schools and voluntary organizations, and we have a particular emphasis on training and nurturing the youth in many different sports.

Job Summary

This position is responsible to oversee the club’s housekeeping and carpark operations of providing a safe and clean environment for the members.

Responsibilities

  • Address member feedback promptly and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Conduct regular inspections of club facilities (e.g., locker rooms, sports areas, public spaces) to maintain cleanliness
  • Develop, implement, and enforce housekeeping policies and procedures
  • Liaise with external service providers (e.g. pest control) to ensure compliance with job standards
  • Manage contract renewal of external service providers
  • Manage inventory levels and controlling costs effectively
  • Monitor the set up and equipment arrangement for club events
  • Monitor the purchase and inventory control of the department
  • Source and evaluate new supplies
  • Supervise daily housekeeping and carpark operations to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards
  • Undertake ad-hoc assignments as required

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant supervisory experience, ideally in hotels or private clubs
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Service-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to lead, build teams, and mentor staff
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to perform tasks independently

The Hong Kong Jockey Club has long been committed to the local community in developing and promoting sports in Hong Kong. The Jockey Club Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course (KSC), the first and only public golf course in Hong Kong, was built during 1994-95 with funds donated by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust.

The facilities, which are managed on a not-for-profit and self-financing basis, are aimed at providing quality, accessible and affordable golfing to the people of Hong Kong. Since 1995 over 3 million golfers have enjoyed playing the courses, thousands of new golf students have been taught the game and golf programmes have been delivered to schools across Hong Kong.

From the very beginning a high priority has been placed on managing the golf courses in an environmentally sustainable manner with the implementation of best management practices that have been internationally recognized. KSC was the first golf course in China to be certified as an Audubon Co-operative Sanctuary for Wildlife and first golf course in Asia Pacific to be certified by the Golf Environment Organization.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

  • To monitor the hygiene and cleanliness of public areas, offices, halfway houses, and bungalows, ensuring a comfortable environment for staff and customers.
  • To supervise the housekeeping team, including rostering, performance management, and providing training when necessary.
  • To maintain effective control of cleaning supplies and monitor inventory, in line with operation needs
  • To ensure the smooth operation of the linen section and prepare a monthly linen usage report.

Requirement

  • Minimum 4 years of supervisory role in housekeeping, linen room, and public area cleaning
  • F.5 or above with fluent Cantonese and spoken English
  • Mature, hardworking, with a sense of responsibility
  • Familiar with basic MS Office and computer skills
  • Holder of a valid driving license preferred
