Our client is a HK based proprietary trading firm and asset manager specializing in systematic arbitrage across global equities, futures, and options. It’s now seeking a self-motivated software engineer with strong problem-solving abilities in Hong Kong or Shenzhen.

The Role – Mid-level Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Support and resolve business-as-usual (BAU) issues, ensuring smooth operationalprocesses
• Develop and implement process automation tasks to enhance efficiency and productivity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and deliverinnovative solutions
• Identify and debug issues swiftly, providing timely resolutions that make a real impact on the business

The Profile – Your Expertise

Experience, Ability And Knowledge:

• University degree in STEM or relevant field
• A self-motivated individual who excels in fast-paced environments
• Quick to learn with strong problem-solving abilities
• Effective communicator with good organizational skills
• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• Previous experience in a role that required independent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Exposure to financial trading is a plus, but not mandatory

Your Skills:

• Proficient in Python and familiar with scheduling and automation tools
• Experience with message queues and database technologies such as SQL, Postgres and REST APIs
• A passion for developing innovative solutions and a keen interest in process improvement
