About the role

OLIVER is seeking a Sr. Art Director to join a high-profile account for a Fortune 500 financial services firm. This global account has already seen growth and is continuing to expand. The Sr. Art Director will co-lead a team to create powerful and impactful creative content. They will work in true collaboration with our stakeholders and their clients to ensure Brand Guardianship and that all projects adhere to the highest quality of creative standards. This role requires fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

What you will be doing

This dedicated team is comprised of project managers, creative and digital designers, developers, and video producers. The team also partners closely with Japan, Shanghai, India, and our global counterparts in US and UK. Working closely with our stakeholders you will work as part of a team designing and producing a variety of materials for digital and print. In the day to day, you’ll be directing, reviewing, and executing digital and print work.

Digital: corporate websites, campaigns, newsletters, email flyers, e-Learning modules, banner images, and graphics, etc.

Print: posters, flyers, brochures, newsletters, signage, event/campaign collateral, and communications related to major holidays, among other projects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of target audiences and the client's marketing strategy to deliver high quality results that have an instant, positive impact on the consumer, promoting the marketing/brand strategy
  • Ability to create conceptual creative ideas to meet client communication objectives and challenges
  • Oversee the creation, from scratch, of print artworks, GIFs, MEMEs, Social Media assets, and different event and campaign collateral
  • Keep up to date with current cultural and design trends
  • Provide feedback and direction to the design, copy and post teams for the best creative output
  • Oversee the execution of concepts to final delivery to ensure their ideas are developed in line with the idea, ensuring a deep understanding of brand guidelines to help the team deliver work that pushes boundaries while staying true to brand aesthetic
  • Solid creative judgement supported by experience and examples
  • Be the client’s advocate with strategic understanding and leadership of the brand
  • The confidence to persuasively present and sell their own work – and their team’s work
Qualifications
  • 8 - 10 years of relevant experience in Digital, Print, Motion Graphics, Web Design, UX-UI, Artwork, and Production
  • 3 years team leadership or people management experience
  • Confident in bringing own ideas and creativity to projects whilst working within a broad range of design & copy guidelines across a variety of artwork collateral
  • Ability to effectively organise and prioritise workloads to manage client delivery whilst simultaneously influence clients with own ideas and conceptual creativity
  • Passionate about design & social media and understanding of the latest innovations in digital & social design
  • Specialized knowledge of methods and techniques of graphic design and layout
  • Demonstrable knowledge of social media platforms and their ad products: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter
  • Passion for and inquisitive about AI and new technologies
  • Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial, but ability to learn and digest benefits and features of AI tools is critical

Your Role & Scope at SellerX

We’re growing our Visual Content & Creative Team and looking for a Senior Art Director (f/m/x) to join us in Hong Kong —with regular collaboration in Dongguan .

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of the entire visual output for our Dongguan image concept hub, currently led by an interim manager and now ready to be shaped creatively by you. You’ll be our go-to expert for building brand visual direction at scale, creating systems, and mentoring a small but growing team into creative excellence.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on turning creative strategy into scalable execution, balancing vision with hands-on craft.

You'll be reporting directly into the Brand Creative Leadership and collaborating cross-functionally with teams in Hong Kong and Berlin.

Base: Hong Kong, with bi-weekly travel to Dongguan.

In Detail, You'll Be Hands-on

  • Own and lead the art direction for all Dongguan-based visual content—from concept to final delivery across Amazon and web shops.
  • Build, reshape, and implement brand books that reflect the unique tone and identity of each SellerX brand.
  • Guide and mentor a junior image concept team (3 people, based in Dongguan) in creating high-quality, conversion-driven product visuals.
  • Set up scalable systems using Figma and establish a structured library and design framework our teams can grow with.
  • Collaborate with photography teams to ensure consistent visual storytelling across channels.
  • Partner with brand and category managers across departments (HK and globally) to translate product insights into visual direction.

Requirements To Thrive In Your New Role

  • A creative leader with a strong portfolio in brand design, content creation, and visual storytelling across multiple brands or product types.
  • Hands-on expertise in Figma and Photoshop as you’ll be our internal subject matter expert and the architect of scalable visual templates.
  • Experience developing and executing brand books and visual identity systems from scratch and evolving existing ones.
  • Proven ability to mentor and upskill junior creatives, creating clarity and confidence in both vision and execution.
  • A natural collaborator with experience partnering across functions: brand and category management, photography, and operations.
  • Language fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English as you’ll need to operate cross-regionally and cross-culturally on a daily base.

What You’ll Be Doing

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Mid-Senior Level 3D Visual Designer who will be responsible for elevating our brand’s visual presence and crafting innovative, dynamic user experiences. Your role will include the following key responsibilities:

  • 3D Visual System Creation & Standardization: Design and establish a cohesive 3D visual system for our products, ensuring the development of new visual standards that maintain consistency and high quality across all designs.
  • Brand Visual 3D Design: Lead the creation of 3D designs for brand visuals, including but not limited to graphic design, illustrations, animation, rendering, and more. Ensure the designs align with the brand’s tone and effectively enhance brand identity.

What We Look For In You

  • Educational Background: A degree in Graphic Design, 2D / 3D character design, or a related field, with at least 3-5 years of professional experience in 3D visual design, and a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
  • 3D Design Expertise: Solid proficiency in 3D design with expertise in design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, etc. Ability to work with a variety of styles and deliver high-quality creative solutions.
  • Brand Design Insight: A deep understanding of brand visual systems and principles, including color theory, typography, composition, and the ability to adapt designs to match brand tones and identity.
  • Comprehensive Design Skills: Ability to create designs across a variety of media, including illustration, graphic design, and 3D motion design. Experience in independently handling design tasks in each of these areas.

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (“HKTDC”), the statutory organisation promoting Hong Kong’s external trade, seeks a dynamic and high-caliber professional to join our Creative Department.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the overall production of 2D graphics and the workflow system for corporate events and trade fairs (including on-site supervision)
  • Plan ahead and provide creative input, set innovative graphic templates for team members to follow
  • Give art direction / artistic advice in different phases of production of corporate publicity materials, including at printing process, photo shoots, and during video filming, editing / multi-media devices
  • Prepare concept presentations to pitch to internal customers
  • Liaise with different departments on design requirements
  • Cooperate with 3D designers / DO colleagues on the creative workflow system for assigned projects
  • Quality control of work assigned
  • Maintain good quality control and improve cost-efficiency on all projects with suppliers
  • Handle ad hoc / special projects assigned by DH/CR
  • Provide assistance for on-site setup and preparations
Requirements:
  • Degree holder with 8 years relevant working experience in graphic and branding design is required. Non-degree holders with strong experience will also be considered
  • Proficiency in using Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere & Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel
  • Proven record of managing all aspects of a successful digital product lifecycle
  • Strong organisational, project management, and planning skills; able to prioritise multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining work quality
  • Strong design sense and able to work independently or in a team to meet tight project deadlines
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills in English & Chinese
  • Responsible and self-motivated, with good communication and interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a good team player
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with short timelines
Remuneration and Benefits:

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A competitive remuneration and benefits package, including annual leave, medical, and dental benefits, will be offered.

LECTURER (VISUAL SCREEN ART PRODUCTION AND DESIGN)

The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts invites applications for the position of LECTURER (VISUAL SCREEN ART PRODUCTION AND DESIGN) to design and deliver innovative courses in Film Technology, Screen Production, and Virtual Production, including advanced workflows with LED walls, real-time rendering, and virtual camera systems. The postholder will supervise student production projects, advise on the latest tools (e.g., Unreal Engine and camera tracking systems), collaborate with other departments and industry partners, contribute to research and creative outputs, and participate in curriculum development and outreach activities. This is a two-year renewable contract position reporting to the Dean of the School of Film and Television.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver courses covering Film Technology, Screen Production, and Virtual Production, including advanced workflows with LED walls, real-time rendering, and virtual camera systems.
  • Supervise student production projects and provide expert guidance on modern tools and techniques for virtual production.
  • Collaborate with other departments, alumni, and industry professionals to create valuable learning experiences and foster partnerships for local and international projects.
  • Contribute to the School’s research initiatives and creative outputs; participate in academic service through committees, curriculum development, and outreach events.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by the Dean to support the institution’s academic mission.
Qualifications
  • (a) Possess a relevant MFA/BFA degree or professional training/experience at an equivalent level.
  • (b) Normally, have at least four years’ teaching experience at higher education level.
  • (c) Present examples of original works in a screen context/multimedia/creative industry.
  • (d) Demonstrate significant experience in advanced film cinematography and lighting technology or virtual production.
  • (e) Rich experience in various types of studio shooting projects in film and channel industry.
  • (f) Be responsible, reliable, self-motivated, able to work independently and be a good team player.
  • (g) Have excellent communication skills and an innovative mindset.
  • (h) Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
Terms of Appointment

Appointment will be on a two-year renewable contract, subject to performance and mutual agreement. A gratuity payment equals up to 15% of the total basic salary earned during the contract period, may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract. The gratuity payable, when added to the Academy’s MPF contribution, equals 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits. The starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The expected commencement date is January 2026, subject to negotiation.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in an agency setting in Hong Kong, China and Internationally
  • Relevant and proven agency experience in concept development, art direction or copywriting within an integrated marketing, creative, advertising, or public relations agency
  • Ability to craft and deliver presentations that sell ideas and expand client relationships
  • Ability to lead a team of art directors, copywriters and designers while also effectively collaborating with other internal and external teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
