Responsibilities
- Execute corporate finance transactions including IPO, M&A, pre-IPO investment, financial advisory and other fundraising exercises
- Perform internal approval procedures, due diligence, market research, financial analysis and regulatory submission preparation
- Prepare, review and follow up transaction issues and documentation independently and report to supervisors from time to time
- Liaise with clients, external professional parties and communicate with regulators as required
- Engage in financial modelling exercise and prepare valuation presentation
- Actively involved in client pitches, market researches and idea generation for the team
- Perform other job duties as assigned
- University Degree holder in finance, accounting, or related discipline
- Minimum 8-10 years' corporate finance-related experience
- Proven track record in executing ECM/ M&A/ Debt transactions, with strong awareness of regulatory compliance requirements
- Possess excellent analytical, interpersonal and presentation skill
- Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Stable and proactive team player
- Excellent spoken Mandarin and English is a must. Fluency in Cantonese is preferred

Job Summary: M&A, deal structuring, valuation, financial modeling, FP&A, strategic planning, project management
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle the full spectrum of commercial financial analysis and recommendations to support ongoing strategic management decisions on assigned investment projects.
- Work closely with different internal stakeholders to lead budget and forecasting processes, implement financial planning and analysis, manage the timeline and deliverables.
- Provide full financial analysis reports, cost analysis and information timely and accurately to Senior Management
- Take lead to participate in different company project matters, including due diligence and contract review, M&A evaluation.
- Mapping outgrowth plans, including capital expenditures and investments and driving sustainable growth discipline.
- Evaluate whether the company’s current assets and investments are the best use of the company’s excess working capital by looking at return on investment (ROI) and comparisons with other ways the company might utilize cash flow.
- Prepare internal reports for executive leadership and support their decision-making.
- Liaise with banks, external auditors, corporate secretary, and other regulatory bodies.
- Creating, updating, and maintaining financial models and detailed forecasts of the company’s future operations.
- Support process optimization and system automation to improve overall workflow efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree holder in Accounting/Finance or other related disciplines
- Professional qualifications of HKICPA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent with Big 4 accounting firm experience are preferred.
- At least 4 years of accounting and financial experience, Manufacturing/ MNC experience is preferred.
- Strong professional knowledge, business sense and problem-solving skills. Able to work in a multitask environment.
- Strategic thinking, strong people management, and leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build relationships and influence employees at all levels.
- Good command of English speaking and writing

The Houlihan Lokey Corporate Finance business has extensive expertise in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, activist shareholder and takeover defense, and other related advisory services for a broad range of clients. In addition, we have the proven ability to engineer and execute financing solutions that are essential for growth and success and offer access to financing in the public and alternative capital markets through the issuance of debt, equity, or hybrid securities.

Scope
The Corporate Finance China team is looking to add a Financial Analyst in Hong Kong.

Analysts work on transactions that provide exposure to various investment banking services, including cross-border M&A, going-private transactions of US-listed Asian companies, and private capital raises across the capital spectrum.
Responsibilities
As a Financial Analyst, you will:
- Prepare, analyze and help explain historical and projected financial information
- Create financial models
- Coordinate and perform business and financial due diligence
- Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches and other presentations
- Conduct research on sectors, companies and potential buyers
- Value companies and businesses
- Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients and prospective clients and professional advisors
- Assist in planning of engagements
Requirements / Qualifications
If you have the following qualifications & experience, we’d love to hear from you:
- An excellent academic track record from a highly regarded university
- A demonstrated genuine interest in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and/or in working on complex and cross-border M&A transactions
- Prior internship / full-time experience in M&A advisory and/or related fields
- Demonstrable experience in executing sell-side transactions
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
- Strong analytical abilities and knowledge of accounting and applied financial theory
- An excellent understanding of financial valuation theory, methodologies, and applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin required
- Skilled in MS Office suite and financial databases (e.g. Capital IQ, Mergermarket)
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with team members
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and hit deadlines in a highly organized manner
